I love their fish cake. I think the bun is better than banh Canh. Next time I will try the bun no but bun is very good. My family loves it. Kinda small location but it's good for Togo

We came here around 6:00PM on Friday. The restaurant was not crowded. We ordered Bun cha ca Nha Trang and Mi xao bo. Bun cha ca was very good but the bowl was not very hot. The flavors was the same as we tried when we visited Nha Trang, Viet Nam. Mi xa bo was so so.
Next time I will try other dishes. -

Not a bad place for Vietnamese food but I don't love it. The food is ok, a bit bland for my taste. Portions are huge though. Servers are nice but a bit slow. We waited longer than I expected for our meal even though we were the only people in the restaurant at 7pm. Went here because there were many reviews raving about their Bun Bo Hue but it was a huge disappointment for me. Price is a bit high for Vietnamese food too.

The bun bo hue here was disappointing. The soup had no flavor what so ever. I had to add more fish sauce and fermented shrimp paste in order to get it to a base level of palatability. No knock to the service, that was good but the soup was just bad. I've been going around Garden Grove trying to find the best bun bo hue and this was on the wrong side of the spectrum.

Stopped here for lunch due to all the raving reviews... I guess that ship has come and sailed away!
I ordered a large Bun Bo Hue and a Vietnamese Iced Coffee.
The Bun Bo Hue was practically flavorless. I mean it wasn't bad, the broth was just bland - no amount of lime and other condiments could change it. The choice of meats was generous, however, the cuts of flank were tough and hard to chew. I liked the fish ball - which was chewy and flavorful. There is a generous side plate full of greens/garnishments/lime which is great. That being said though, compared to other BBH dishes, this one can be considered to be relatively "average". The noodles were traditional BBH type, but it didn't really help much to a dish that was lacking in overall flavor.
The Vietnamese Iced Coffee on the other hand was amazingly good. It had just the right level of depth, flavor and strength. I was surprised at how well it maintained it's flavor even after sitting out for a few hours - as coffee from most other places would end up being rather bland or watered down as a result of the ice melting. Not here, the iced coffee here maintained most of its flavor, so that's definitely a plus for this spot. Maybe go here just for the coffee.
The decor and ambiance is cute and cozy. I liked the tasteful decorations, wallpaper and spacing between the tables and chairs.
Cash only and the parking lot is deceptively big. Be careful where you park since some spaces are designated specifically for the beauty school or other particular businesses here.
